The European Parliament

Welcome to the website of Edward McMillan Scott, elected to represent the people of Yorkshire and the Humber in the European Parliament

Much of his work is focused on constituency issues, but as Vice-President of the European Parliament and one of Britain's most senior MEPs, he uses his influence to pursue campaigns with an EU or worldwide scope. His portfolio includes democracy and human rights.

As a pro-European supporter of civil liberties, fair tax and electoral reform, after his protest at the Conservatives' new EU alliance, he joined the Liberal Democrats in 2010.
